The PXW-Z300 showcases advanced Sony digital imaging technologies, including three 1/2-type 4K Exmor R® CMOS image sensors with the power-packed BIONZ XR™ image processing engine, and the AI Processing Unit that enhances high-performance shooting at 4K50p with Subject Recognition AF.
Simultaneously record full-resolution video and low-res proxies on two memory cards, or use relay recording for uninterrupted shooting. Dual card slots support both CFexpress Type A* and SDXC UHS-II/UHS-I memory cards.
*Camera does not support the CFexpress 4 standard.
The versatile V-mount attachment on the side enables a smooth, integrated shooting setup. It’s easy to attach or detach devices such as the PDT-FP1 Portable Data Transmitter (sold separately), smartphone, mobile battery, audio receiver, or other third-party accessory via a 1/4-type screw adaptor.
The Sony PXW-Z300 also has a variable ND filter, very useful in sunlight.
The front end reminds me of the Sony EX3 front end a great camcorder in its day.
