Who remembers creating a DVD in FCP, those good old chapter markers gave you definitive jump points within your DVD and were very accurate.
YouTube has a great feature called Video Chapters that allows creators to break up their videos into named chapters where Video Chapters were recently added to an already published video.
With this new app the easiest way to get these chapters is to add orange chapter markers to your Final Cut Pro X project, then use Creator’s Best Friend to make a list of timestamps and chapter titles for you.
I was given a chance to try this app out before it went to market and I added chapters to my video review on YouTube about the Panasonic X2000.
The beauty of this app is the ability to post produce your chapters from any video that you have uploaded as long as the video starts at zero on the timeline.
So for instance all you do is add the chapter markers plus wording in FCPX after the video is made and export an XML from the timeline. The app leaves you with the chapters as you can see from my example below but you copy and paste them into the Description part of either YouTube or Vimeo.

As you can see you can now choose the bits you want to see on YouTube, especially good for Tutorials and Video Reviews.
