Yesterday Visual Impact came to the Glasgow Science Centre and put on a great show with cameras galore, media students from Cardonald college had a great time looking at all the new kit.

Mike Turner from JVC going over the electronic back focus on the GY-HM850 camcorder AF lens…as its a wee bit tricky I decided to film it to include on my 850 review, coming soon.

Look maw I’m on the telly…a £21,000 4K Panasonic BT-4LH310 Grade One monitor !

I was a great show and a lot of interest from students to broadcast cameramen and women, as usual the Holdan team were on show with various production tools from vision mixers to the 4K Blackmagic camera and that all important 21″ 4K Panasonic monitor working out at £1000 per inch.

Having been working in the video business since 1988 I have amassed a great amount of knowledge of both the kit and production values over the last 30 years.

  1. No rumors from JVC regarding an update of the smaller older HM1x0 series?
