Having been working in the video business since 1988 I have amassed a great amount of knowledge of both the kit and production values over the last 30 years.

Interested to see how this performs. I bought a Genus fader ND 18 months ago and don’t use it now as it’s pretty good at sucking fine detail out of my video. The other problem is that it hasn’t got an outside thread to attach a lens hood. The LCW fader ND is better optically and has a filter thread one size larger than the attachment thread size to avoid vignetting when using a lens hood.
Hey Tim,
I’ve had the time to really put the new Eclipse through it’s paces and it really outperforms the old Genus Fader by far. The Eclipse is also far superior to the LCW Fader and is up there with the Heliopan for half the price! There is no sharpness loss and no color cast! If you go to my Vimeo (vimeo.com/philarntz), there’s a little video about it, so you can convince yourself 🙂
