Panasonic treated us to a fantastic day at the Groucho club in the heart of Soho in London. The day started with some DoPs that had filmed with the camera.
One of my all time favourite comedians is Groucho Marks, known for his wonderful humour and shot in the good old days of black and white films.
Nigel Wilkes was on hand to oversee some of the filming in China town, we had about 30m each with the camera. I used my time to film a couple of interviews with the camera.
First pictures from the Panasonic DVX-200 filmed at the Groucho club in London.
I will give you some thoughts on the DVX-200 tomorrow.
Overall thoughts? Is it worth purchasing?
I have been looking forward to this camera since day one at NAB this year. Seems like the better fit ever for my exact needs for all types of run n gun shooting as well as a B-Cam for fiction works, with my KineMINI 4K.
The more I read about it the more I’m sure of this. Can’t wait to buy it.
Thanks for this article!
Hi Philip. Low light capability? Your views on 8 bit and 4:2:0 internal in relation to UHD TV ‘broadcast’ standards and grading. Ergonomics? I know you will like media, do you think data rate is fast enough? Glad you enjoyed the day. Cheers. Bob.
