This came about because like many of us you don’t want to do the wrong thing, especially when it comes to very important data. I did not want to discover I was rebuilding the whole 12TB RAID rather than the new 2TB drive I had just installed.

This tutorial gives you clear simple steps how to install and rebuild a new hard drive, this will save you time contacting Promise Technology as the process is relatively simple…once you know how !

The 2TB drives are guaranteed  by Promise for 2 years so although I bought my own for speed of install, Promise should send me a new drive in the post so its worth leaving a web support reply.
