Pro HD video blog…Produced by Philip Johnston DoP/Editor

imedia-logo-v22Working digitally makes it all the more important to keep tabs on your work. When you’ve laboured through the night editing a sequence for your new masterpiece, it’s so easy to lose track of what assets are on which drives – especially a few weeks later when the client wants an alteration. It’s also important to be able to find particular shots when you need them, without spending hours ploughing through gigabytes of material.

iMedia has been designed to record critical information with as few keystrokes as possible, enabling users to find footage, monitor projects, keep in touch with clients and even print address and media labels with a click. As you enter information about your media, your project and client lists automatically build in the background. Without any additional work, each client’s projects and the media for each are neatly listed, accessible with a click.

The software is entirely self-contained, saves automatically as you work, and saves a backup of its data each time you quit. It’s easy to install and use, although there is a built-in animated tutorial with dummy data to help you get started.
