Pro video blog…Produced by Philip Johnston DoP/Editor

I will start by thanking Philip Bloom for his efforts in bringing this about, he has pestered DJI and petitioned them for months for this change.

For those of you who are not drone flyers “Tripod mode” a strange name came years ago with the Mavic series of drones.

In tripod mode, the drone’s maximum speed is usually limited, and the drone uses GPS and other sensors to maintain its position and stability. The controls are also usually adjusted so that the drone responds more slowly and precisely to the pilot’s inputs.

Overall, tripod mode can be a very useful feature for anyone looking to take smooth and steady footage with their drone.

Here is a vide explaining the new update…
