I have been rather harsh with Canon’s R5 as its not just a video tool. This picture from Paul Zizka using a pre production R5 is exceptional.
With its 45MP full frame sensor and exceptional low light capabilities there is a lot more to this camera that I clearly ignored.

You say “…..its not just a video tool”?
Surely it’s primarily intended as a stills camera – the video mode is just extra? So why any surprise to find it takes good still photographs!?
HDW : David I think you will find Canon hoped this would be the successor to the 5D as this camera alone gave Canon one of the most successful sales years of all time due to its video features. Sadly due to promoting the 8K as a “feature” and the inherent overheating problems most of us have been very negative about the R5 forgetting its primary role as a photographic tool.
