I was astonished to discover just how good an audio recording the iPhone can produce from its own in-built microphone.
For this kit to be useful there will need to be wind gags – and now a Lightning connector!
Will this work with the iphone 5 and a lightning adapter?

I have an iPhone 5 with the Apple 30 pin to Lightning adapter, although it’s not recommended it does indeed work. The noise floor (hiss) of the iXY with iPhone is pretty amazing. I also bought the cable style adapter so that I can point the mic in the direction that I want while still being able to control the app and see levels. I’m sure the manufacturer is coming out with a new model – stay tuned!
