So any big news…new cameras…one, the JVC HMQ10, the pictures coming out of this wee camera are quite stunning.

A lot of interest at the ARRI stand with the Alexa taking pole position.

No one was wasting any time there was lots of lenses to view on Canons candy store, I have some footage from various Canon EF lenses on my Canon C300.

Sony were showing off their F65 which looks the business and was well attended by DPs looking for an alternative to the Alexa.

Robb Tarrent from Panasonic showing off an HPX250 P2 camcorder, one of the newer cameras that is growing in popularity amongst P2 fans.

So thats it, nothing to set the heather alight, speaking of I did see a new £1400 LED light from RotoLight the EcoFlood RL576 which I will feature tomorrow evening.

  1. Is that Jon Bentley (Channel 5 Gadget Show presenter)behind ‘n’ left of the cam op in the F65 photo ?

  2. Hi Phil, I saw you at BVE today, but you were wrestling with a C300 on the floor at the time so i didn’t say hi. I hope the show went well for you. Last time i was there was 2 years ago… you couldn’t move for rigs with 5Ds and 7Ds on them… this time it was all about the C300, FS100 and Alexa from what i could see…barely saw a DSLR, apart from in some of the punter’s hands..
